GENERAL
What is the UAE Government Leaders Programme (GLP)?
GLP is a national initiative dedicated to developing Emirati leadership across various career stages. It offers structured, experience-driven programmes built around the UAE Government Leadership Model.
Who are the programmes designed for?
GLP offers programmes for:
• Early-career professionals (aged 21–35) from the private sector (Nafis)
• Mid-level professionals from the public and private sector (UAEGLP)
• Senior federal-level leaders (Strategic Leaders Programme)
Is GLP only for government employees?
While some programmes are exclusive to public sector participants, others, such as the Nafis Leadership Programme, are open to Emiratis working in the private sector.
What is the duration of each programme?
All programmes are designed as part-time, cohort-based experiences and typically run for 12 months. This allows participants to continue working while completing the programme.
Are these academic or certified programmes?
Each programme awards a certificate of participation upon completion, issued by the UAE Government Leaders Programme. These are not academic degrees but are nationally recognized certifications tied to leadership development within the UAE context.
